“Run for Tibet - Bring Tibet to the 2008 Games” was held on August 4th at Yoyogi park in Shibuya Tokyo, when Tibetans living in Japan ran with Japanese supporters to appeal for human rights in Tibet, in coordination with the International Tibet Support Network "Team Tibet" events around the world. A film showing and a public meeting were also held in Tobetsucho, Hokkaido and Fukuoka, Kyusyu. The run was hosted by Tibet Support Network Japan (TSNJ), which consists of 20 Tibet support groups in Japan.
Twenty-one participants, including six Tibetans, attended the run in Yoyogi park, one of the largest parks in Tokyo. The participants handed out information to the many interested families and others in the park after the run.
